Meet the Maker - The Hundredth Acre

We are so delighted to welcome writer, storyteller and candlemaker Robert Brink back to California Found with his unique and beautiful brand - The Hundredth Acre. Robert is still as chill as ever. A man of the written word, who prefers his music instrumental and his non-human company that of a gorgeous French Bulldog appropriately named Bardot - she is, quite simply, a stunner. We now follow them both on instagram, him @thehundredthacre and her @bardotthefrenchbulldog.

If you're new to Robert's work, The Hundredth Acre creates artfully fragranced candles in gorgeous glass vessels and apothecary jars. Each is topped with a round of vintage recycled book page - a nod to Robert's love of writing and literature. But what is immediate, what is all consuming is the fragrance! For our anniversary collection, we chose The Hundredth Acre "A Walk in the Woods", which their website describes as "The aroma of walking through a vast, untapped forest amongst endless spruce trees with crackling branches and beds of pine needles under your feet." We describe it as the quintessential scent of the holidays: spruce and cedar coziness (retail $25.00). All of The Hundredth Acre's candles are 100% soy wax, hand-poured in Laguna Beach, CA. Choose your favorite - we particularly love Petrichor, described as "...summer rainfall in the forest, blending moss, amber, sage and more..." and Yuzu (Robert's favorite, too) described as featuring "...notes of mandarin, lemon satsuma, ruby red grapefruit, bergamot and oakmoss."
