What is California Found?
California Found is a subscription service that delivers a sunny box of beautifully crafted California artisan products to your door. Every month, California Found subscribers receive a collection of expertly curated items that may include gourmet, spa & beauty, home goods, jewelry, stationery and more, beautifully packaged and with a retail value of at least $90.
How much does it cost and how will I be billed?
Month-to-month subscriptions cost $49.00 and ship for free in the US and for $7.95 per month to Canada. If you order today, you will be billed right away to reserve your membership. Subsequent boxes will be billed on the first of each month for that month’s box, unless you cancel prior to the first of the month. For cancellations that take place after the first of the month, that month’s box will be shipped and billed and your cancellation will take effect the following month.
Three-month subscriptions cost $144.00 and ship for free in the US and for $7.95 per month to Canada. Your renewal will take place on the first day of your renewal month. Three-month subscriptions auto-renew, unless you cancel prior to your renewal billing date.
Six-month subscriptions cost $270.00 and ship for free in the US and for $7.95 per month to Canada. Your renewal will take place on the first day of your renewal month. Six-month subscriptions auto-renew, unless you cancel prior to your renewal billing date.
There is never a cancellation fee.
Gifts of a single month cost $49.00, gifts of three-months cost $144.00 and gifts of six months costs $270.00. Shipping of $7.95 per month in the US and $14.95 per month to Canada is applied to all gifts. Gift subscriptions do not renew.
Sales tax will be charged for orders placed with a shipping address in California.
I just subscribed, when will I receive my first box?
The current month’s box subscription closes on the 30th of the month. If you subscribe after the 30th, your subscription will begin with the next month’s shipment. If we are sold out of boxes the month you subscribe, you will be notified and your subscription will begin the following month.
When are boxes shipped each month?
All boxes are shipped between the 25th and 30th of each month, and typically arrive within 5 business days.
How do I update my shipping or billing information?
You can update your account information by logging into your California Found account or contacting us at email@example.com.
Can I buy a gift subscription for a friend or family member?
Yes! Go to GET THE BOX and choose GIFTS FOR THEM.
Can I purchase last month’s box?
At this time we do not offer previous boxes for sale.
Where and how do you ship?
California Found ships via USPS or UPS anywhere in the United States including APO boxes, and to Canada. You will receive an email with a tracking number each month after boxes ship. Please track your shipment, as California Found is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Any dispute or claim of non-receipt must be resolved with the third party carrier. Gift boxes follow the same shipping patterns as subscriptions. California Found cannot expedite shipments at this time.
How can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime by logging into your California Found account or contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are on a month-to-month subscription, and you cancel after the first of the month, that month’s box will be shipped and billed and your cancellation will take effect the following month. If you are on a three-month subscription, your renewal will take place on the first day of your renewal month, unless you cancel prior to your renewal billing date. If you are on a six-month subscription, your renewal will take place on the first day of your renewal month unless you cancel prior to your renewal billing date.
How do I receive a refund?
California Found cannot accept returns or offer refunds. However, if any of the products in your box are damaged during shipping, please contact us at email@example.com and we’ll work together to make your experience perfect! We do require that you notify us of any issues via email and include pictures of the damaged item within a week of receipt of your shipment. We will ask you to ship the damaged product back to us and we’ll cover the return shipping fee. If we no longer have your exact product available, we reserve the right to find you something just as fabulous.
Will I know the contents of my box ahead of time?
No way! Part of the fun is the surprise! We hand select every item and you won’t know what’s inside until you peak inside, but we’re pretty sure you’ll be delighted with what you find. Every now and again, we do publish spoilers, so if you're the "gently unwrap and rewrap" type that can't resist peeking, be lookout for those.
I have allergies, are your products free from allergens?
Allergies are a huge bummer and there are a lot of them in the world. California Found subscription boxes contain food items, skin care, home goods, jewelry and accessories that may be made from ingredients that some people are allergic to. We do not warrant that any of our boxes are free from even the most common allergens.
I am obsessed with the items in my box, how do I buy more?
Visit the maker’s website! You can find their web address on their vendor card in your box and in our "Meet the Maker" blog posts. Soon, we will have links to many of our makers in the California Found Marketplace. From there you’ll be able to shop their whole line of beautifully made products.
